Visitors and newcomers are always welcome at St Peter’s. Whether you’re just passing through, new to the area or have lived here for many years, we’d love to meet you! Our services are at 10:00am and 6.30pm.
There’s always a mixture of those discovering what the Christian faith is all about, those getting started following Jesus and those who’ve been following him for much longer.
What to expect (When not in Covid!)
10:00am Family Service
Our morning service is informal and family-friendly, with both traditional and contemporary worship. The congregation is made up of a wide range of ages and backgrounds. We sing, pray, and hear the Bible taught. We enjoy time all together as a church family before our youth and children gather in age-specific groups. We have fantastic Sunday groups for the youth and children and a crèche for the toddlers and babies too.
Afterwards, we enjoy tea and coffee together. Our services last about an hour and a quarter.
Once a month we have our all-age Together @ Ten service, which is followed by a bring-and-share lunch. This is usually on the first Sunday of the month; see the term card for more details.
6:30pm Informal Service
Our evening service is a vibrant mix of bible teaching and lively, contemporary worship. It has an informal feel as we sit around tables, and we often take time to discuss and ask questions. The evening service is home to all kinds of people including many 20s-30s, professionals, students, internationals, and older youth.
Our services last about an hour and a half. Join us from 6:15pm for drinks and snacks before the service and stay to enjoy more of the same at the end. There’s usually a trip to the local pub afterwards too.
On a bank-holiday weekend we don’t have an evening service.
